Visit of the Ambassador of France in the North West Region (28-29 September 2015)
The Ambassador of France to Cameroon, Christine Robichon, made her first movement in the Anglophone region of the North-West on 28-29 September 2015. The region’s development challenges were addressed successively with administrative authorities in Bamenda, with political leaders of the majority and the opposition and several traditional leaders (Fons) of the North-West.
The action of France in favor of improving the health in the region was illustrated by the laying of the founding stone of the maternity of Nkwen and the visit of the Mbingo hospital, two health centers of the Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC), which enjoys a preferential loan from the French Development Agency rate (AFD).
The environment and bilingualism were honored at the Alliance française of Bamenda by the opening of a photo exhibition on "34 Wonders of the World" threatened by climate change.
France is engaged in the development of the region through cooperative projects in areas as diverse as health, environmental protection, the fight against human trafficking or the agricultural training and research.
