Police and gendarmes trained in peacekeeping at Eiforces
Following the 18th and 19th training courses for public order trainers held at the Eiforces, a closing ceremony was organized on April 20th.
The closing ceremony of the 18 th and 19 th Public Order Trainers Training Courses took place on 20 April 2018 in Awae on the campus of the International School of Security Forces (Eiforces). This eight-week training course was co-funded by Cameroon and France. Under the supervision of the technical adviser in public order of the director general of the school, it was provided by 11 Cameroonians experts of the police and the gendarmerie according to the standards of the United Nations.
38 police trainees and gendarmes from 16 nationalities were able to acquire knowledge in the fields of democratic crowd management, police techniques, weapons knowledge and pedagogy. Trainees have become trainers and return to their country and can now transmit their knowledge within their administrations on the national or international territory during peacekeeping operations.
